Walt Disney World Vlogs - Days 10-12

2 August 2015

Happy Sunday folks!

It's time for the second to last instalment of my Walt Disney World vlogs and I cannot tell you how much I love looking back on these vlogs already. Being able to watch something on film is just such a winner for me. Photos are fantastic and capture beautiful moments, but I love being able to hear things with film. The music, sound effects, sound of people and random conversations that you forgot you had take you right back, and that's something truly special.

Day 10 involved the families splitting up for most of the day. My family went to Blizzard Beach to chill (can you tell we enjoy waterparks yet?) but it rained pretty constantly from 11am - 5pm so we eventually went and had some lunch and tried to keep dry. Rosie's family went to do the Behind The Magic tour which I'm so jealous of, but the price is extortionate and it puts me off. Maybe one day! Although they did bring me back a limited edition pin which you only get if you do the tour which made my day! We finished the day with the Disney Cluedo Tower of Terror edition which was SO worth the money. My mum had no idea what she was doing and it caused much hilarity.

Day 11 involved us finally having our long awaited IHOP breakfast. Our waiter was a magician called Joel Santiago and he'd worked with David Blaine. He did all sorts of magic tricks with us that completely blew us away. The pancakes were pretty wonderful too. After a small bit of shopping, we headed back to Animal Kingdom which was fun as always. The evening finished with dinner at Jiko at Animal Kingdom Lodge. It was delicious!

Day 12 started with Blizzard Beach (yes, again) just so we could tick Summit Plummet off our list. For those who don't know what Summit Plummet is, it's an 120 foot waterslide that's themed like a ski jump. You fly down at 60mph and wedgies are obviously compulsory. Rosie was terrified, but I coached her down it! We then headed back to the Magic Kingdom (of course!) but our plans went slightly off course because of a huge thunder and lightning storm. The video doesn't even show the intensity of it. It went on for ages and the lightning was unlike anything I've ever seen. Because of this, Wishes didn't happen, but we managed to catch the Electrical Parade right at the end of the night.

What are you up to today? I'm about to head to the gym and then plan to sunbathe on the beach for the rest of the day - thank you sun for finally reappearing!
