Things I'm Excited For

30 August 2015

I had a pang of excitement yesterday knowing that the A/W season is on the way. Our Summer has been particularly rubbish, and even though Bournemouth is lucky and doesn't seem to have as much rain as other places, it's still been dreary and not much of the Summer vibes that you hope to have. Before I knew it, I was making up lists in my head of all the things that I've been looking forward to.

Winter clothes - I adore jumpers, jeans, boots and big knit scarves. I bought a new Winter coat yesterday and I'm now willing the weather to drop degrees to I can warrant wearing it!

Cold dog walks - Nothing brings a smile to my face like a cold dog walk. I love wrapping up warm in my gilet and feeling the cold sea air bounce off my cheeks before stopping for a hot chocolate somewhere to warm my bones.

Downton Abbey - I'm not quite ready to say goodbye to this series yet and I know I will be crying when it finishes. There's nothing quite like snuggling down on the sofa on a Sunday night to watch Lady Mary try to sort out her love life.

Winter running - I begrudgingly added this to my list. Training for the London Marathon means I will be running throughout the Winter, which means many cold mornings and rainy runs. Although it would be easy to resent this, I'm looking forward to the journey and the road to running those gruelling 26.2 miles.

Spartan Race - Somehow, and I'm not sure how, I will be doing Spartan Race in a few weeks time. To say that I am terrified is an understatement, however I know I will laugh my way through it. 8 miles and 15 obstacles..bring it on.

Dubai - I wouldn't be me if I didn't try and get away every few months, so I'm back off to Dubai in the Autumn to get some well deserved rest. I adore Dubai - it's not a place that everyone will love but if you're after guaranteed sun and relaxation, then you can't go wrong. Plus, I am a water baby and the water parks keep me more than happy.

What are you looking forward to?
