Studland Beaches

19 April 2015

The weather has seemed to be on my side since moving back to Dorset. I think there's been two days of rain since I've been back, and even then it's only been for an hour or so. The UK has been blessed recently with the weather, and I'm currently sitting cross legged, in the garden, on the trampoline, clad in a new bikini (which is rather cute if I do say so myself) whilst writing this blog post. I couldn't really ask for more right now.

Yesterday, I decided to take Max over to Studland to do a walk around the sand dunes. To get to Studland, you can take the ferry from Sandbanks near Poole, to Shell Bay. The weather was gorgeous and everyone was out doing watersports and boating. It was a joy to see and I found myself getting rather jealous of everyone who owns a jet ski. Studland is pretty much all National Trust, so there are some nice facilities on most beaches. I parked at Shell Bay which is the first car park you come to having got off the ferry and walked along the coast line and sand dunes.

I don't know about other people's dogs, but sand sends Max crazy. He just loves running up and down, back and forth until he inhales half the beach and has to cough up his lungs. It's an attractive affair! However, he has the best time and it makes me happy to see him in his element.

They say you learn something new every day, and I was informed that Studland also is home to seahorses. I've yet to see one there but next time I'm back, I'm going to keep my eye out.

I did a small mini-vlog of my walk with Max yesterday. Apologies in advance for quality..I wasn't using my usual vlogging camera as the moving box with my cameras in are sitting at my parents house. Mega fail.

I hope you have sunny weather wherever you are. I'm going to get back to my sunbathing before going for a nice dog walk with Rosie and Bodhi later.

  1. Wasn't the weather fantastic yesterday?! Looks like you had a great time at the beach with Max. We've not taken Megs and Gemma to the beach often. There are quite strict rules with letting dogs of leashes here which is a pain!

  4. I miss living in Dorset so much, even more so when the weather is lush and there's not a beach in sight in Surrey :'D
